19th Scansin Lancers - Almost there

Lt. Carey leads the troopers of 1st team G Troop on the exercise field.  Visibly noticeable is the lack of training that the 19th Scansin was able to perform with their mounts while traveling to the theater of war. Although the 19th spent more than the required time training for "Infantry Operations" a mere fraction of their allocated riding time was able to be carried out.  This due largely to the Imperial navy being unwilling to convert a portion of the troop deck to a training area for horses.

So these guys are getting closer to being done. There a few minor details that need to be painted and of the most obvious, the bases..  I'm hoping to have these knocked out by the end of the week and then it's back to the Avenger for a bit before I start on the 7th Scansin's heavy weapons.

  1. Beautiful! Time to sound the charge (almost)! I love the little pistols and the chain sword. I have an order of some inbound myself so im glad they look so good. Great work on the paint job too.

    1. Thanks, I'm looking forward to getting these guys into action. The Pistols and Chain Swords really are top, and I feel the really add to the models.

  2. Makes me want to pick back up my Rough Rider project (I've got the parts for 36 in all.) If only the rules made them remotely playable since they are, arguably, the worst unit in our codex despite their character.

    3. Hi and Wow.

I've been reading your guy's blog for a while now, and never realized that I wasn't on your Blogger list until you came up with the 500th Post. I have to say though that I never expected to win and am quite shocked to hear that I did.

As for whether another SH could be used... What Imperial Guard Army couldn't use another Super Heavy!
